"Lucifer" FOX renews show for 3rd season

"Lucifer," a TV series that follows a fallen angel, has been renewed for a third season.

Lucifer is one of those rare shows that starts strong out of the gate, and just keeps getting better and better,” said network entertainment president David Madden.
A very loose adaptation of the comic book character created by Neil Gaiman for the comic book series, "Lucifer" stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer, a fallen angel, who is bored and unhappy in hell, and moves to Los Angeles, where he owns a nightclub.

"Lucifer," a TV series that follows a fallen angel who become dissatisfied with his life in hell, has been renewed for a third season by FOX.

The season has earned an early Season 3 renewal, for 22 episodes.
"Lucifer" is the latest Fox drama series to be picked up for next season, joining the hit series "Empire" and "The Simpsons."

Based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg, this series follows Lucifer, the original fallen angel, who has become dissatisfied with his life in hell. After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles, Lucifer indulges in his favorite things (women, wine and song) -- until a murder takes place outside of his upscale nightclub.
For the first time in billions of years, the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifier's soul that is eerily similar to compassion and sympathy. Lucifer is faced with another surprise when he meets an intriguing homicide detective named Chloe, who appears to possess an inherent goodness -- unlike the worst of humanity, to which he is accustomed. Suddenly, Lucifer starts to wonder if there is hope for his soul.
"Lucifer" which returned for its second season on Fox on Monday, September 9, 2016, is currently on hiatus and will return on May 1.
